Hongo is a very solitary creature, who rarely is seen until he is needed in battle (and even then, he is often late, coming in to save the day just at the last moment). He has a bizarre sense of justice for a Pokemon, despite this, and will often involve himself in the affairs of others beyond solely Taki, determined to do the right thing.
Ryo has a most peculiar style to the poof of hair atop his head-- it curls forward between his eyes like a pompadour. He is also a surprisingly large Growlithe, who is exceptionally curious and seems endlessly enthused by literally everything at all times. He is very friendly, though a little shy, and takes some coaxing to interact with others. Despite this, his size leads him to be something of a powerhouse, and he can easily bowl over smaller Pokemon.
Mari is very flirtatious for a Pokemon. She can and will hit on anyone, human and Pokemon alike. It's actually a little unnerving. She is very protective of Taki and his entire team, however, and won't hesitate to get scrappy and claw some eyes out if they are endangered.
